AI-AIM Profile

Canonical definition

An AI-AIM Profile is a behavioural-pattern-similarity score that measures how closely an AI system's output resembles A-driven, I-driven, or M-driven human behavioural signatures, without making any claim that the AI architecturally instantiates A, I, or M. The profile decomposes AI behavioural output along three axes corresponding to the three AIM sources, but each axis measures resemblance to the behavioural signature of human A-driven, I-driven, or M-driven output, not the presence of A, I, or M in the AI itself. Per the AI Null-Hypothesis Comparator Principle, AI lacks all three architectural sources; the profile is therefore a comparator instrument, not a source-attribution measurement.

Explanation

An AI-AIM Profile asks: how much does this AI's output look like behaviour that, in a human, would be produced by Appetites, Intrinsic Motivation, or Mimetic Desire? The score is a similarity measure, not a diagnosis. The AI is not hungry, not curious, not status-tracking, but its outputs can closely mimic the behavioural surface of those conditions because its training data was generated by humans who were. The profile lets researchers compare AI behaviour to human behaviour along the same axes used for human AIM analysis, without conflating behavioural resemblance with source presence.
