Hybrid Evidence Coupling
Canonical definition
Hybrid Evidence Coupling is the intermediate κ band in which exogenous Referent Evidence and endogenous social Evidence jointly update the Belief, with ρ(Koff) in the subcritical mixed domain (operationally ~0.2–0.5 relative to κc) and fendo neither negligible nor dominant. Order effects are substantial (Chapter 14 §14.7.4 mixed domain) but the system remains below κc; classical probability breaks down for sequential evaluation while fold collapse is not yet structurally inevitable.
Explanation
You mix your own observation with what others tell you, and neither source alone runs the show. A second medical opinion, a peer-reviewed field where replication still works, or a market where some buyers still test the product directly, these are hybrid. The order in which you hear things still matters, but reality can still get a word in. This is everyday social epistemology for most professional and personal decisions.
