AIM Framework glossary

Jubilee

Canonical definition

The Jubilee is the correction that clears the accumulated stock of claims: a general settlement in which every outstanding debt instrument is discharged in full by the currency-issuer — the whole of the remaining stream, over the life of every instrument — so that every creditor receives everything owed and every debtor is released, executed under an operating M-Tax and observability governance.

Explanation

All the debts are simply paid. Not cancelled against the lender, not written down, but paid in full by the issuer of the currency, after which nobody owes anybody. The lenders lose nothing and the borrowers are free. What stops this from causing inflation is that the other corrections are already running: with the M-Tax operating and prices unobservable, the paid-out Money has nowhere to act — its holders are already past the point where more buys anything they lack, and the one thing that could absorb unlimited Money, position, is no longer for sale.

Epistemic status

Framework-Specific Intervention.

Derivation

Chapter 12, Section 12.36.2. Formal condition: Appendix 12A.

Also in the entry

Distinction from the historical clearances. The misharum and the scriptural Jubilee reset the stock of claims with the Mimetic Premium unbounded, so the same accumulation restarted and each clearance scheduled the next. The framework's Jubilee executes under the M-Tax and Blind Pricing, which bound the source that refilled the claims; it is a component of one calibrated correction rather than a recurring emergency measure.
