Net Mimetic Position (NMP)

Canonical definition

Net Mimetic Position (NMP) for a transaction is the difference between Mimetic Premium gained (status signals acquired: PM(ownership), PM(portfolio), PM(visible)) and Mimetic Premium extracted (parasitic charges incurred: PM(interest)). NMP is Individual-relative even for identical Objects. Formal Expression: NMPi=[PM(ownership)]−PM(interest),i\text{NMP}{i} = \left\lbrack \text{PM}{\left( \text{ownership} \right)} \right\rbrack - \text{PM}_{( \text{interest} ) , i}

Explanation

Two Individuals purchasing the same Object at the same price may have radically different Net Mimetic Positions. A cash buyer whose purchase forms part of a broader asset base gains PM(ownership) plus PM(portfolio) while incurring zero PM(interest) (positive NMP. A first-time buyer using high-LVR long-term financing gains PM(ownership) but incurs PM(interest) extraction that may exceed the purchase price) negative NMP. The Object is identical; the M-outcome diverges by Individual circumstance. Substrate specification. (Disaggregation Convention 1.) NMP is computed on transactions in A-I Objects (shelter, durables, credentials, and other host goods); the PM(ownership)/PM(interest) differential is M-channel extraction layered on those substrates, not an independent M-Object.
