Decision Hub

Canonical definition

The neural integration site that receives valuation inputs from A, M, and I, integrates them into a single Common-Currency Scalar, tag-strips during integration (Source Opacity, proved via the Data Processing Inequality), and emits action selections on the basis of the integrated Scalar. It also holds the cached-value (habit) store on which habit-timescale action-selection runs directly, without a fresh Ground-Resolution cycle; this cached store is distinct from priors, which are the Thinker's, and from the Belief Register, which the Observer reads to condition Salience. The Decision Hub does not interpret, ground, or explain its outputs, does not maintain priors, and does not resolve Salience into A-grounds or I-grounds, interpretation is I's function. The Decision Hub is a Disaggregation Primitive per the Dashboard Gauge Principle. [Axiom 2: Common-Currency Integration]

Explanation

The part of the brain's decision architecture that takes the various motivational signals coming in and combines them into a single "how much do I want to do this" number, then picks an action based on that number. It does not know where the signals came from, it does not think about what they mean, and it does not decide which of them is legitimate. Those jobs belong to I. The Decision Hub integrates and selects, nothing more.
