Species-Neutral Processing Principle
Canonical definition
Species-Neutral Processing Principle (SNPP). The Species-Neutral Processing Principle is the architectural result that the neurological machinery by which an Individual classifies encountered entities as Agents (Axiom 9), valuates them as Objects (Individual-as-Object Principle), and integrates the resulting valuations through the Decision Hub (Axiom 2) is species-general with respect to the entities being processed. Humans possess no exclusive neural circuit for processing other humans as Agents or as Objects that is absent from their processing of non-human animals. Any apparent human-specific specialisation (for example, elevated Salience of human faces, voices, or social cues) is a parameter-level weighting within a common architecture, not an architectural discontinuity. Framework-Specific Principle. Derived from Axioms 2, 5, 7, 9, the Individual-as-Object Principle, and the Derivation-Not-Ambition Principle (DNA-P).
Explanation
When you look at another person and form a sense of who they are and what they want from you, your brain is not running human-specific hardware. It is running the same Predator-Prey-Collaborator-Rival classifier and the same Object-valuation circuit it applies to a dog, a horse, or a bear. The machinery is general. What varies is the weighting (human faces grab more attention than most non-human stimuli, for ecological reasons) and the cultural content that trains the weights. There is no separate neural module for human-directed social cognition, and the processing of non-human animals as Agents is the same operation, run with different parameter values.
