Truth-Tracked Regime

Canonical definition

The Truth-Tracked Regime is the Decoherence Regime in which a Referent exists, an access path is available, decoherence has already occurred, and the Belief tracks the decohered Referent, so the Belief is solid and carries no pending collapse. Decoherence Time is short and continually renewed by maintained contact with the Referent. The regime is distinguished from the mathematically provable regime by the separability of the check: in the Truth-Tracked Regime the Referent is exercised contingently but reliably (the check is available and routinely performed but distinct from the Belief itself, so contact can in principle lapse and the Belief migrate toward Referent Abandonment) whereas in the mathematically provable regime the check is constitutive and cannot lapse without the Belief ceasing to exist. The Truth-Tracked Regime is the target state of Subcriticality Maintenance: coupling-reducing reforms are attempts to migrate domains into it and hold them there.

Explanation

This is the healthy, ordinary case: the Belief has been tested against reality, it passed, and reality stays available to keep testing it, so it holds and nothing bad is waiting to happen. A load-tested bridge, a settled measurement, a well-run experiment. It differs from mathematics in one way: with maths, believing and checking are the same act, so the check can never lapse; here the check is separate, so if you stop staying in contact with reality the Belief can drift and eventually become a bubble. This is the state good institutions are trying to reach and stay in.
