AIM Framework glossary

Conflict Horizon

Canonical definition

The Conflict Horizon is the period commencing at the onset of identified friction between Self-Models and concluding not at formal adjudication but at the full discharge of the Mimetic Premium accumulated between the parties during the proceeding. Within this horizon, dynamics are Content-agnostic: A-deprivation, I-suppression and M-escalation continue to compound, and the party holding more accurate Beliefs has no tactical advantage, because Bayesian updating on endogenous evidence is truth-independent (Truth-Value Orthogonality). The horizon runs longer than the formal proceeding's closure suggests, subsuming the post-adjudication period until the Mimetic Premium fully discharges, if at all.

Explanation

The Conflict Horizon is the full length of time during which the fight is actually costing people something, which usually runs well past the judgment date because the resentment and status-tension do not stop when the case does.
