Referent-Supplied Coupling

Canonical definition

Referent-Supplied Coupling is the lowest band of the κ intelligibility scale: the regime in which the Evidence stream updating a Belief is dominated by exogenous Referent contact rather than by coupled neighbours' expressed Beliefs, such that ρ(Koff) ≪ κc and the endogenous Evidence fraction f_endo is approximately at or below the classical-domain threshold (~0.2). In this band, Appendix A.11.6 Corollary A applies (Belief-conditioned estimates track the Referent on short Decoherence Time) and the Coupling-Concealment Identity permits source discrimination because κ is too low for endogenous Evidence to swamp Referent signal.

Explanation

Most of what you know here comes from the thing itself, not from what people around you think. Tasting food, weighing goods, reading an instrument, or watching an event unfold supplies Evidence that does not depend on others' Beliefs about the same question. When someone asks "how much of this is just what everyone else believes?", the honest answer at this rung is: very little. This is the κ-side counterpart to the Truth-Tracked Decoherence Regime: Referent contact is doing the work.
