Satiation-Function Entailment
Canonical definition
The Satiation-Function Entailment is the principle that the satiation and termination dynamics of each input-bearing component are entailed by the function that component performs, and could not be otherwise without changing the function, so that the three differential satiation profiles of Axiom 6 are derived consequences of the Minimal Architectural Specification rather than independent empirical regularities. The Body Manager's set-point-deficit signalling function entails episodic satiation with cyclic recurrence, the Thinker's prior-maintenance and Bayesian ground-resolution function entails a non-satiating I-process (which operates continuously and in private, the deficits it signals being for the Objects whatever process it is running requires rather than for the function itself, so that correcting one closes that deficit and leaves the function running) together with the satiation of I-enabling Objects (whose value is contingent on the task the Thinker is performing, so that the Thinker's deficit for them closes on acquisition and does not recur), and the Observer's continuous conditional Object-field Salience function entails non-satiation (because the function cannot complete while perception and the conditioning inputs persist). The Entailment is the architectural ground on which the satiation dynamics are demonstrated rather than asserted, and it links Axiom 6 to the behavioural-observability of source discrimination: the termination dynamic is a property of the signal's relation to its generating condition and is expressed in when behaviour stops, while Source Opacity denies introspection the same source information that behaviour displays.
Explanation
Each of the three motors stops, or fails to stop, the way it does because of what that motor is for, not as an extra fact bolted onto the architecture. The body's deficit-signaller switches off when the deficit is fixed and back on when it returns. The thinking system keeps going in private because thinking, remembering, and problem-solving are what it does; any particular piece of work it takes on stops when it is finished, when there is nothing left in it to work out, which is boredom, or when it is interrupted, and the tools it needs for a given task do get enough once the task is handled. The social-comparison system never stops while you are awake and watching, because there is no deficit to fix and no engagement to get bored of, it just keeps assessing and resets its yardstick each time you acquire something. Because the stopping behaviour is built into each component's job, you cannot have the architecture without these satiation dynamics, which is exactly why they, and not what people say about their own motives, are the reliable read-out the framework rests on.
