Stable Prey Classification
Canonical definition
Stable Prey Classification is the Y-dominant Agent-Type Vector held toward a population and maintained across sustained contact by an institutional architecture whose function is to manage the behavioural evidence that would otherwise redistribute weight toward the Collaborator and Rival coordinates. It is distinguished from the Y-dominant vectors of genocide and of first contact by what the classification is for: the classified Individual is resource-bearing Prey whose value lies in sustained extraction rather than in consumption or elimination, so the classification must hold stable while that Individual remains present and productive. The Mimetic component is inverted, standing accruing to the holder through ownership rather than through reciprocity with the classified Individual, and the Intrinsic component is suppressed institutionally, which is why slave codes, anti-literacy laws, assembly prohibitions and family separation recur across otherwise unrelated slave-holding societies: each is an evidence-management mechanism the classification requires. The ideological architectures such societies generate are the confabulated elaboration of the extraction-ethics moral profile rather than its cause, which is why the culture follows the institution and why abolition proceeds through institutional reconstruction rather than moral persuasion. Where a kind-claim licenses violation without the Predator framing that authorises an act, the licensing Belief is a Stable Prey Classification and not a Grievance Belief.
Explanation
Slavery and caste are not cases of people being stripped of a humanity they were first granted. Nothing granted it. The classifier reads the enslaved as a resource, and the institution exists to keep that reading from being disturbed, to stop the evidence accumulating: competence shown, reciprocity offered, a life visibly like one's own. That is what the laws against literacy and assembly are for. The doctrines come afterwards, to explain the practice to the people carrying it out, which is why changing minds has never been what ended it.
