A-Disadvantage

Canonical definition

The derived consequence that the Body Manager (A) has no reciprocal cultural amplifier. The Body Manager’s channel is the only one of the three channels of influence over V that is neither the Thinker’s own input nor Thinker-shaped, and because homeostatic set-points are biologically fixed and the Body Manager has no upstream channel to receive cultural shaping, no cultural operation raises the weight of the Body Manager’s channel in V. Errors in cultural configuration therefore compound against the Body Manager’s channel systematically, not symmetrically. Follows from the Channel-Count Asymmetry. The fast-layer formalisation is at Appendix A.5.9.

Explanation

The body’s signal, hunger, exhaustion, pain, is the only one with no ally inside the decision. The other two channels are both shaped by the reasoning self, and culture can reach both of them but never the weight the body’s signal carries, so errors in what a culture installs fall against the body every time rather than evening out, which is how people talk themselves past genuine bodily need.
