Low-Salience Pre-Loading

Canonical definition

Low-Salience Pre-Loading is the first channel of the Pre-Loading Mode: the installation of standing priors that down-weight the Salience the Observer assigns to Model-observed valuation, attenuating the magnitude of installed Mimetic signals toward the Salience Floor without per-instance diagnosis. Because the attenuation is carried by the Minimum Installation Condition's magnitude clause and applies to the whole class of observation-installed signals, the channel routes around Source Opacity rather than compensating for Source Opacity downstream: the Individual never needs to identify which particular desire is mimetic. Its principal instance is the Caught-Desire Prior. The channel's proposed formal correspondent is reduction of the within-Individual salience-to-Mimetic coupling (the Class 2 Intervention target not implemented by any interceptive channel), entering the Knowledge Patch's channel footprint as its within-Individual upstream conditioning channel; the Appendix A mapping is reserved for formal derivation.

Explanation

Instead of examining each want one at a time, you install one standing Belief that quietens the whole channel through which other people's wanting becomes your wanting. It works on everything that channel carries, which is exactly why it doesn't need to know which want is the copied one.

Epistemic status

Framework-Specific Construct. Derived consequence of the Minimum Installation Condition (magnitude clause), the Belief Register, and Axiom 8; bounded by the Salience Floor (attenuation, never elimination). Not an additional axiom.

Derivation
