Salience Floor

Canonical definition

The Salience Floor is the positive lower bound on Observer-installed Mimetic Salience under any prior configuration: Low-Salience Pre-Loading attenuates installed signal magnitude toward the floor and never to zero. The floor is entailed by three existing results: the Minimum Installation Condition's gate clause is unconditional on the priors (the gate opens on any observation event carrying another Individual's directional valence toward an Object, whatever the priors; priors condition magnitude only), the Observer has no termination condition (Satiation-Function Entailment, under Axiom 6, Differential Satiation Dynamics), and the mimetic channel's base coupling is structurally positive. Any statement implying that Pre-Loading, or any Knowledge Patch operation, eliminates the Mimetic signal contradicts these premises and is wrong on those grounds. The Salience Floor is the individual-scale mirror of Subcriticality Maintenance's population-scale bound: hold the coupling low indefinitely, while accepting that Mimetic Salience continues to enter the loop at every cycle.

Explanation

You can turn the volume down; you cannot turn it off. The wiring that makes other people's wanting audible to you has no off-switch, and no Belief you install will create one. The honest promise is a quieter signal, not silence, and the honest goal, as everywhere in the framework, is management, not elimination.

Epistemic status

Framework-Specific Result. Derived consequence of the Minimum Installation Condition (gate clause), the Satiation-Function Entailment (Axiom 6), and the structural positivity of the mimetic base coupling; forecloses M-elimination readings of Pre-Loading. Not an additional axiom.
