Self-Defence
Canonical definition
Self-Defence is defensive attack by an Individual whose escape from an imminent threat is blocked by another read as a danger, or whose access to provision for a pressing Appetitive deficit is blocked by another. In either case it runs on the fast timescale, ends when the way opens, and does not compound.
Explanation
Real self-defence is fighting your way out when you are trapped, or fighting your way to water someone is keeping from you. It stops as soon as you can get away, or when you have it.
