Constructed-Belief Entailment
Canonical definition
The Constructed-Belief Entailment is the result that no property distinguishes a Hypothesis Imagination has constructed from one that exogenous evidence has delivered, so a constructed Hypothesis is scored by Ground-Resolution on identical terms and becomes a Belief whenever the available evidence assigns it a high enough Posterior. The provenance of a candidate is not carried across the handoff from the generative to the evaluative operation, and could not be without a source-tag of the kind Common-Currency Integration destroys, so the architecture holds no barrier between imagining an entity and believing in one and requires none to operate as specified. The origin of a candidate is epistemically decisive and architecturally invisible. A Hypothesis whose composition is drawn from Knowledge acquired through contact with physical reality carries warrant the world supplied; a Hypothesis composed within the Individual carries none, and since Knowledge is non-committal as to truth, assembly from Knowledge confers no warrant by itself. Ground-Resolution holds no term by which to tell the two apart, so it scores both on the evidence reaching the Thinker alone. Where the Hypothesis posits an entity in the physical world, exogenous evidence bearing on it exists and the test can be run, so the governing condition is the availability of that evidence rather than the absence of a truth-value: a search record that reaches the Thinker rarely and only when sought out is outweighed by what the population generates about itself, which is the Endogenous-Evidence Condition, and under high Coupling Strength the Posterior settles where the population settles rather than where the search record points. Where the candidate is endogenous in origin and the evidence endogenous in circulation, no exogenous evidence enters the cycle at any point, and nothing anchors the Posterior outside the Individual and the population between them. Such a Belief is Referent-abandoned rather than Referent-free, the test having been run and returned a null result, so its corrective is the positive limb of the Provenance Rule and not the Induced-Decoherence Test.
Explanation
An Individual can imagine something and end up believing it, and nothing in the architecture stands in the way. The generating part of the mind builds a candidate out of what is already known and hands it to the weighing part, and the handover carries no label saying where the candidate came from. The weighing part then does what it always does: it looks at the evidence available and settles on the best-supported answer. Where the evidence that would count against the candidate is hard to come by while what everyone around appears to think is not, the second is what the answer settles on. Two things hold together. The entity is experienced as real, because being experienced as real is what holding a Belief at high Posterior consists of, and the Phenomenological Reality Principle governs: an Individual who reports an encounter reports something they underwent, and the vocabulary is not for telling them otherwise. And no physical evidence for such entities has been identified. The architecture permits the entity to be experienced as real; the physical record supplies no evidence that the entity is real; the distance between the two is the result.

Distinction from Confabulation Rationality Lemma. The Confabulation Rationality Lemma governs the case in which the true Hypothesis cannot accumulate probability mass, whether absent from the Hypothesis Space or dominated by a competitor. The Entailment does not require the true Hypothesis to be unavailable. The search record may be complete and representable and the constructed Hypothesis still prevail, because what decides the Posterior is which evidence reaches the Thinker rather than which Hypotheses the Hypothesis Space contains. Distinction from Confabulation Priority Principle. The Priority Principle governs temporal order: under Type I Exclusion the sincere-but-wrong account occupies the explanatory slot first, and the occupied slot removes the demand for the expansion that would admit the accurate account. The Entailment governs a different question, why a Hypothesis that was constructed can be held at all, and it operates whether or not Type I Exclusion obtains. Where an unexplained phenomenon is attributed to an agent, the Priority Principle governs. Where a constructed entity is carried at high Posterior against an available null record, the Entailment governs. The two compound where both conditions hold. Distinction from Certainty-Truth Independence. Certainty-Truth Independence holds that probability concentration is a property of the system rather than a relation to reality. The Entailment relies on that result rather than restating it; what the Entailment adds is the provenance-blindness of the handoff, which is why a constructed candidate reaches the concentration stage at all.
